Trunk Lock question

Default Trunk Lock question

got an easy one....do you need the key for the trunk lock to change out the trunk lock?

not on mine there is a big c-clip taht holds it in, pull that out and the outer lock pops out and dont loose the rod that goes from the lock to the latch though! but yes you will need keys to operate it

I assume you lost the key to your Honda - you didn't say what year or model either. You need to get the trunk open first. Then the lock can be removed.

I can see how I confused you considering I am in the Classic Mustang Forums....and I asked if you needed the key to remove the lock (like you need for the ignition), not if the trunk needed to be open to remove the lock.
