Fox Body?
Close but no cigar. The Mustang was redesigned in 1994 and is known as theSN-95.This version is wider and many parts were redesigned. So it is not the same Fox Fairmont that was built during the 80's. It finally ended production with the last 2004 Mustang.
The new guys from 2005 up have a Ford D2C platform.

No, not the same... but it still has a few things in common...
Personally, I like them. They're cheap to buy and they have great aftermarket support. An 89-93 5.0 Mustang is one of the best "bang for the buck" cars out there. I drove one (an 87 GT 5-speed) while I was in college and my only real complaint is that the heater never got hot enough. Otherwise it was dependable and economical, if not really all that fast.
I'd still have it, but someone traded me a 69 Mustang coupe for it.

2005+ is called the S197, and the SN-95 morphed into the New Edge stangs sometime in the late 98's (was it 98 or something?)
btw, S197 > NE but im sure glen will disagree

S-197 known as also known as DC2 and S197 is Ford's real wheel drive new platform. No disagreement, just a clarification.
