Default Drive shaft installation question

Has anybody recently installed a driveshaft?

I'm having a problem installing mine. After tightening up the u-bolts on the differential yoke, the rear u-joint center has1/16" of play between thecaps on the yoke. I'm assuming the caps are held from flying out by the lip on theedge of the differential yoke. Myu-joints aretheinner snap ring type. The u-joint caps are held inside the driveshaft lugs by the snap-rings on the caps. The forward u-joint and rear u-joint in the driveshaft lugs are all nice and snug.

Are the inner snap-rings needed for the u-joint capsin the differential yoke as well? I put some in the first time I tried installing my driveshaft, but they seemed to be interferring with the differential yoke.

Napa shows a 1" cap and a 1.125" cap u-joints for Mustangs. It sounds like you have the wrong u-joint installed.
