I'm getting close to getting my '65 painted. Here's some pics her when I picked her up.. garage find for sure...

I started on it about a year ago...I paid$1100...When I got it home.. I put gas and battery then drove it up and down driveway... Itstarted right up...

How did I do?

Keep her yeller. That's a famous color.
and keep that interior Palomino.
That's also a famous color.

 

I have the 289 rebuilt, transmission rebuilt ready for it to get back from body shop...

Nice looking project. I am with Soaring in keeping it yellow. I also like that color interior.

 

How about sonic blue?

 

I'd say you did pretty good. But as far as colors go, it would look good yellow or sonic blue, I really have no idea of what paint it though. Still a good looking project though.

The project has been fun...

I'm leaning a few ways on paint.... a) White blue stripes.... b) light Silver metallic c) darker gun metal...

One more sanding and I will be ready to paint... it has been sandedthree times and primer twice...

Not much more time to decide..
