Now for the hard question, you just have to decide to move ahead, and take it one project at a time. Don't "stop and look" too much as this can be habit forming and discouraging, especially whenyou have a big project ahead of you.
Break your work into "smaller pieces" or smaller projects and see each project through to completion, don't skip arround, otherwise you will end up with too many unfinished projects, this is discouraging.
You will need the lift that each "completed project" brings, in orderto grant you the enthusiasim and willto move to the next project. By moving forward, completing projects, and seeing progress, you will gain the confidence and energy to start the next.
Think about the project at hand, not worrying about what the next project will bring untill you get there, lest you become overwhelmed.
When you want to stop, force youself to remember that the work will only get done if you do it, the car will not reconstruct itself.
Decide each day if you are going to work on the car, if you decide to work, then work, if you don't feel up to it, take the day off. Remember it is really easy to talk yourself out of work, get busy before you have the chance.
Do somthing, even if it is wrong, so often we are so afraid of making an error we decide to do nothing, this will not work on this kind of project, if you make a mistake fix it, but do not let the fear of an error stop you. JUST DO IT!!!
Move forward, move forward, move forward..........
Do what you have to do to finish your first car, sometimes shortcuts are ok, in spite of the prevailing opinion on this forum. Dont get bogged down in the details too much, resign yourself to the fact that you will learn much by experience, and you first attempt at auto restoration will not be perfect, but there are more cars, and your next project will be easier and better.
This is a lazy mans advice to you

I am lazy, but I can use thes methods to "git-r-done"......

Good advice James. I am surprised you could read his question and concern.

(second to last paragraph)
I know a lot about how a big project can be very discouraging, over my years I have learned that it is more than "ok" to just chip away at a project, especially a project that is supposed to be a hobby and fun!!
I love it when a plan comes together!!
Couldn't have said it better myself. I had started on my floor pans and doors at the same time. While pulling my engine, tranny, and rear diff.
Since my breakdown I am curently concentrating on the floors and every little bit of progress keeps me going on to the next project!

JMD had some great advice, IMHO. I ended up putting mine in a body shop because the body work (floor pan, new roof, etc.) was simply too daunting. I believe I can do the rest when it gets out, though, and plan to do the "one thing at a time" approach.
