Couldn't have said it better myself. I had started on my floor pans and doors at the same time. While pulling my engine, tranny, and rear diff.
Since my breakdown I am curently concentrating on the floors and every little bit of progress keeps me going on to the next project!
is that a mental breakdown, after realizing all the work that you had taken on at the same time?

When I was redoing the fastback, one thing I did that I found to be very helpful was to put a dry-erase board up in the garage with some of my smaller"to-do's" on it.
That way, if I found myself just standing around, scratching my *** and blinking while trying to think of an "easy" part of the project to do, because I really didn't feel like doing the big stuff, I would have a handy list from which to choose. It feels good to scratch one off and add another. It helps keep up the motivation.
When I would come home from work in the evening, I would try to accomplish at least 1 thing andgive myself a time limit to do it. For example, I need to install the new lower control arms. Easy enough, give yourself ahalf hour to do it. Imposing time limits on myself kept me from drifting over to the bar on the work bench. Work first, then drink.

Put all of the bolts into sandwich ziplock baggies and label them!! This saves scads of time during reassembly.

Just cut the legs off of the elephant.

Yea, it kind of sucks when there are too many hands in the cookie jar, my son is always picking up after me,, well because I am a slob, ... I am really, really, glad he does, but sometimes it makes it hard to find stuff!!

I used to keep a neat shop,,,, but now,,, well, I guess I am going through a sloppy phase....

I also used to be the neat one with every tool and part in it's place and marked. Now, I just throw the hand tools in one drawer and the sockets in another. Saws and drills get thrown on a shelf or two and the paint cans and carburetor cleaner and waxes have to fight for space.
