do you have the little tool to remove the pin thing that holds the handle on.unless it has a screw unsure on a 65.

I thought 65 have those clips that hold the crank onto the shaft. If this is the case and if you don't have the tool for such removal, you can try to use some needle nose pliers and pull the clip, or use a flat head screwdriver and push the clip. good luck

The rear quarter window crank is secured by an Allen screw. You need to have a good set of many different sizes because this guy is small.

If it is a true 65 car, a 3/32 long allen wrench to reach the screw on the inside of the handle part. It the car is a 64, it uses a special removal tool.

If the handle is going to be replaced, give it a hard tapin and then pry it off from several sides. Repeat if necessary. You might want to put a piece of sheet metal or wood under the prying tool.
If the handle is not to be replaced, gently tap on it and pry away.

That's exactly what I was thinking, essentially using the method I use to get the caps of jars that are very tight, tap around the edge and wiggle it, hopefully you were planning on replacing them anyway. If that doesn't work then you will have to pry it out, just make sure and protect the panel.
