Default 9" rearend

i currently have an 8" rear on my 69 mustang i was thinking about the possibility of changing it to a 9". but as i look at some places that sell new ones, there kinda pricy. i was wondering if there is any other ford model that has a 9" that would be interchangeable with my mustang????

Check the FAQ section. Tons of information there.

+1 on Perogie. I've bought from them before, and they are very nice to work with.

ive serched around and as i look at all these web sitesserches, i find that when you look for the right year they all categories 67-70 mustangs does that mean that all 4 years have the same length drive shaft, as i look around i couldnt find anything that stated the actual length... thanks

but ill continue to look around

Then you didn't go to the FAQ and read. The 9" for the 67-70 is 59.25 inches from flange to flange.

Here is a site that may help. Normally I cut the housing to whatever the width I need and either order a set of axles or have them re-splinded (its imperative to keep it straight). Usually the big bearing axles can almost all be resplinded, you may have trouble with the small bearing ones, some can and some can't. You canfine the right widths in other cars, just make sure that the spring perchs measure the same.
