Scammer?
"It sounds a whole lot like your are really trying to screw someone over on what looks to be like a nice car. How about instead of scamming someone out of a hard earned $9000 you go get a real job, and if that dosent work out you just shoot yourself for being a failure in life. I will report this.
Sincerely, A real mustang owner"
How is that.. I just sent it off..

Does ebay really do that? I don't believe the guy for a second, but why would he use ebay to make it "secure"?

They have all kinds of elaborate schemes to seperate people from their money, buy or sell....
Probably lots of funding for terrorist orginizations is raised in this manner.....
Beware, just because a link might say somthing like "http://www.Ebay Motors.com", it does not have to lead to the site it says... Be catious of any link that is sent to you, or that is on a website,,, If you doubt the validity of a link, type it directly into your browser, don't click on it.
To the best of my knowledge, Ebay does not handle the financial end of sales at all.

My guess is that they would e-mail a "dummy link" to ebay, the link would say "ebay" but actually direct a person to a dummy "look alike" website, where certain banking or credit card information would be submited. At this point the scammer could probably clean the bank account or the credit card out, and would be assured of being able to get at least the $4,500.00, that the "buyer" had planned to spend.
