69 widshield wiper motor

Default 69 widshield wiper motor

mine seems to have stopped working. does any one know where it is located and how to remove it..... and where can i find a new one

Look under your dash near the steering column. Check with just about any Mustang vendor of your choice to find a new one.

The motor can be removed after you remove the cowel cover (the piece of metal immediately in front of the windshield). The motor comes out from outside the car and not from under the dash. I believe the '69 is the same as my '70. I would double check the switch, fuse and connections with a volt-ohm meter before removing the motor.

That's correct. Take out the cowel cover, and undo the 3 bolts around each wiper blade spot, and there is 3 bolts on the bracket for the motor. Drop it all then slide it out through the big cowel hole as an assembly.

EDIT oh yeah and be sure to unplug the wiring and push the gromet through the hole.

ok thanks... oh real quick i dont have a manual.. where is the fuse for the widshield wiper motor... befor i remove it i want to check everything

I'm not sure, look in the FAQ for wiring diagrams. You can always replace all the fuses for peace of mind, thats one way haha
