to tune in with every other aspect of the car from rear to engine etc..

yeah .. once you get to the point of spending that much money to get that kind of torque ...

Gas prices are irrelavant .. unless your a DD ... which i wont be with this babe ..

it will be a SEmi DD.. hahha.

gotta have fun with it ya know ?

I bought the kit over ebay,,,The Mustang Depot had the best value deal,,,,they were helpfull and sent me a good product..

I did a lot of "shopping" over summit racing, and almost bought from them, but found similar products for less on e-bay, so I went that way. I like to shop over Summit because it is very easy to negociate their website. Get an idea of what you want then go "price shopping"

I like dealing with local shops,, but the speed shop here in Las Cruces deals with Chevrolet..... not Ford... so everything was purchased online.

Ratios and such can really only be determined with what you want from the car,,, frankly I think that my son and I may have gone a little too hot on his 66, but it is going to be a hoot to drive!!!!!!!!

Comp Cams HR294, 10.5 to 1 Compression ratio, RPM air gap manifold, Victor JR heads, roller cam & rockers. 750 Demon carb, 5 speed tran and 4.10 gears... I don't think it will go on a lot of long trips....

Stock or aftermarket heads will work, you could always donew heads later. Aftermarket heads are going to provide better performance, but some early 351 castings are considered to be good as well.

You can almost count on boring the block to .030 or .040 over, but you would normally do this on a rebuild as well.

If going to the expense of a stroker, you wont want to try and save boring the block.

Do you haveyour 351heads now? If so, let me knowwhat you have and I can run some goodies through my computerto try and findthe piston specsyou will need to get the compression ratio you are looking for. I have a set of 1970 iron heads that I can give you if you will use them, I think the 70 heads are supposed to be pretty good, and these were on a running engine...

I think im going to gather my knowledge .. and then set up a play book with him ..

head recommendations?
edelbrock intake i assume.
i have no clue what roller cam and rockers are ...

but otherwise ....so should i just buy a 351 block and work it from there? cuz i think its pointless if i buy the whole engine right?

tko 500 or tko 600 ?

Edelbrock heads and intake,,, bought a complete used 351 engine with attached c6 for $400,, luckily it had never been rebuilt. I had intended on using most of the engine, but ended up using very little, but it was a good base to start with. This way I had all of the bolts, brackets, etc.... very helpfull, I recomend buying a complete engine if you have the means and the price is right,,, having pulleys, bracket and bolts that you need,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, priceless.. .

A roller cam is a camshaft that uses "roller lifters" instead of flat lifters, the roller lifters have a small roller or "wheel" on the bottom, this roller rides on the cam shaft, allowing valves to open and close in a more aggressive manner.

TKO 600

I think 69 heads might be better than 70 heads,,,,

The TKO was new...
