Yes, I know that. Sorry to step on people's toes, but the exhaust fumes are just as common in these cars as is the exhaust.

Thanks for all the advice, will check all things you guys mention. And it is gas fumes that I smell, not exhaust, just to clerify. This car is just gorgeous, my first muscle car. Past few years been into Imports, but the '65 had always been in my mind, just never the funds to purchase. I think for 9K, and interior all redone and in mint condition, is a steal. Will be a regular here in forums from now on.
