Default Suspension torq specs

(I seemed to have misplaced my assebly manual) On the lower control arms and upper control arms, how tight should these be? I figured the uppers should be well tightened but I don't know the specs. The lower bushing seems to get cinched up if I tighten it too much giving it zero up or down movement. Lastly, how much should ball joint be tightend? I've got all new stuff and I don't want to screw this up!

You don't state the year if it matters and my scanner at home died, but here is what my FSM states

[ul][*]Lower arm ball joint assy to spindle slotted nut: 60-90[*]Upper arm ball joint assy to spindle slotted nut 60-90[*]bumper assy - suspension compression to body bracket stud nut 12-17[*]arm and inner shaft assy - upper suspension to body bolt 55-75[*]lower arm assy to underbody lock nut 35-50[*]lower arm strut to underbody lock nut 40-55[*]shock absorber assy to spring seat 12-17[*]shock absorber to upper mounting bracket stud nut 10-15[*]brake assy to front spindle lock nut 25-35[*]front stabilizer to lower arm stud nut 5-11[*]front strut to lower arm bolt 55-70[*]shock absorber upper bracket to body nut 17-25[*]front stabilizer to body lock nut 17-25[*]wheel bearing adjusting nut 15-20[*]shaft-upper arm spring seat to upper arm lock nut 17-25[*]wheel nut torque limits 6cyl 55-85, 8 cyl 75-110[*]upper ball joint to suspension arm 12-15[/ul]
Hope that helps.

1966 and thanks for that info! I didn't know you could put 60-90 lbs to ball joints. Interesting.
Thanks!

According to my Haynes manual, it is definitely 60-90 ft. lbs ball joint to spindle.

Usually a ball joint torque spec also includes a note to tighten further if necessary to get the cotter pin hole to line up with the slots in the castle nut. Never, ever loosen the nut to assemble.

Norm.
