Just be realistic with yourself though, I was 16, bought a '66 and dumped about 5k$ into it, then school came back around and its just not feasible, gas and downtime means I miss school unless I catch a ride, plus not the time the car deserves. Mine is now for sale and I am looking at a newer mustang.

I know that, but I was just wondering, because most V8s ive seen are morea round 9grand. Oh and to add on, since my dad would probably make me pay my own insurance with that car, how much do you think it would be for a 16 year old in Southern California.
I was pretty worried about insurance to, but I found a great deal at one of the Rod and Customs shows. The insurance I gotis only for classics and exotics and she was insuring about 30 cars from that show alone. For me (17 year oldmale with good grades, no tickets) to be the primary driver it is only $127 every six months. I'm not exactly sure what the numbers are but I know that it covers me for a good amount of money, including $100,000 coverage of property damage. I believe it's through ANPAC.

Well I got my car for 4000 and it was in immaculate condition, I was not satisfied with the 6 but I already have a daily driver. Like everyone always says it depends what your looking for and what you are willing to do.

On the issurance issue, I pay less now for both cars then I did for one, Classic cars are generally cheaper to insure... in my experience.

What insurance is this and doesnt it have a mileage limit or those kinds of things?
