Did that help you? I tried finding hard-on paper information, but no such luck. I figured they wouldn't be putting that hood on a 67 unless it originally came on it, but that's just me.

Now that I think about it, I think that I remember my dads friend, who knows everything about every car ever made said that only the second half of the 67 year and the 68s got the hood signals.

Thanks Ovalboy again! I posted a pic of my bro's car, he is a doc in denver. He is actually wanting to start his own muscle car shop, andaccomodate old school and new school muscle, but he is not sure about the interest in the area. You know anybody from there?
So that's his GT-500? Wow, I'm jealous. Unfortunately I only know a few people that go to CSU so I don't think I'll be much help in that area. I know there are some Denver people here on the site, its just a matter of finding them.

I thought that was what the deal was, but just wasn't 100 percent sure, and I don't want to give out bad information.

Follow the wires from the hood to the firewall. You'll see where it plugs into a plug coming out of the firewall. This will be original equipment, not wires spliced together in order to make your hood signals work. My '67 Coupe with a non-turn signal hood has the same plug. I tested the plug and it works (all I need now is a hood). That's a good indication to me that the turn signal hood was indeed an option for 1967. Otherwise, the plug wouldn't be there.

Good luck with your resto. The turn signal hood was absoutely available on both the 67 and 68. the main difference in the bodies is that the 67 had the faux side vents behind the doors and the 68 did not. Also, 68 had marker lights on the fenders and quarters. The 67 did not. Other than that and some minor differences in trim, the bodies were the same.

I kinda want to get rid of mine, and get a cowl hood, well not necessarily get rid of, just take off and substitute in cowl style hood.

I have a 68 that HAD a turn signal hood. I traded it with a guy in my club for a flat hood. He had a 67 and the plug was present. All he had to do is plug it in and it worked great.
