Default 1967 question

Good morning folks, I am new to the club and I understand that virtually any question I have will be answered here, in some fashion or another. Long story short, I had my restored mustang stolen about 2.5 years ago, I have recently recovered it and it is dire need of some TLC. It was partially restored in 1989-1991, just had it looking real nice (poor mans resto). I am looking to restore it even further so that my kids can enjoy the same pride I did when I drove it in high school. I am on a limited budget (I am a police officer and my wife is a teacher, so income is limited + 2 kids 9 and 5). I will be attempting most of the resto myself, the more complicated stuff I will ask you folks about and if it sounds too complicated, I'll get my pop to help he has an original owner 69 Mach 1 (428 SCJ) sitting in his garage with about 75K mi. on it. So we have always been a Mustang family! My brother just purchased a Grabber Orange Shelby GT500 (2007), he loves it, I loved it when he let me drive it, it doesn't have the RRUUMMBBLEE yet but I am sure he will be tweaking it a little, he already has it up to 625HP!
First Question... Does anybody know if the 1967 coupe had a transition period where they went to the slotted hood for the turn signals? Mine has always had one, but since I am the second owner I wasn't sure if the original owner swapped it with a 68 hood. I like it better than the plain hood, but I was always baffled by it. I can't afford to get it back to completely original, but I want to get it close.

Theturnsignal hood was part of the 1967 exterior decor package. I am not sure if it was available stock on the 68's or not. Definitly a cool option.

When my wife backed into my original flat hood, she thought I would be seriously pissed but I just stood there thinking to myself,{giggle} I'm getting a turn signal hood!

I think that the turn signal hood was one of the different things between a 67 and 68 being that 68 had it.

Yes, 68 definitely has it, but I have seen it on a number of 67s, two of my friends have 67s and they both have the turn signals in the hood. I highly doubt that many people would change it, I'm pretty sure it was an option on the 67 and has been on most every 68 I've seen.

This is the closest to solid information that I've been able to find.

In case the edit went un-noticed I found a project car on HotRod.com and the link to it is in my previous post.

Thanks, I can't believe how quick I get responses here! I love it. I am interested in finding someone from Denver. Do you know of anyone from that area? Crazy question, I know, but my brother wants to start up a muscle car business and wants to find out if the interest is there. He lives in Denver.

Thanks Ovalboy again! I posted a pic of my bro's car, he is a doc in denver. He is actually wanting to start his own muscle car shop, andaccomodate old school and new school muscle, but he is not sure about the interest in the area. You know anybody from there?
