How do I clean this rust/junk on the Engine??

its a 72 351 w 2bbl .

what can i use to clean it up entirely ..

thanks .. i need to get all that junk off of it ..

and what can i use to clean the internals or lube them ?

everything from ports etc.. .

just minor kinda thing .. no steam junk..

engine degreaser, wire brush, pressure washer, more degreaser. hmm. I'm sure others will have better advice lol

if youre gonna rebuild it, take it to a local outa the way machine shop and have it hot tanked, other wise use a wire brush, and degreaser, and a 55-gal drum of elbow grease.

I wouldn't mess around trying to get it to look amazing unless you're going to get a rebuild which (usually) includes hot tanking. I've seen people use chemicals, power sprayers, etc. Don't bother. Oh, it will look great right after you paint it, but just wait until it's driven a few months! There's nothing worse than seeing blistering paint reveal old paint.
