The good news is that Fords door gaps and other gaps were not consistent
, the bad news is that FORD GAPS WERE NOT CONSISTANT[:@] I have found when adjusting/making my gaps that paint stir stick works really well. Paint sticks are free, easy to get, soft so they won't hurt the paint, and a nice thin thickness than makes the gap as small as possible, but still gives you enough gap to not have clearance issues. So I guess the answer to your question is that Fords gaps range from 1/16" to 1/4" depending on the car and what kind of work has been done to it, but with lots of hard work a car can be consistently 1/8" all the way around and will look really sharp with that gaping.
