Default tci c4

My new tci c4 doesnt go into reverse when it gets warm. Tci says the shifter is out of adj. I dont have the kickdown hooked up yet could this cause it?

Default RE: tci c4

the adj they are refering to should be a single bolt slide adj where the linkage bolts to the tranny shifter arm.it's a simple adjustment, and you only should need to move it 1/4in. forward or back to correct it, if TCI is right. i find neutral on the shifter inside the car, then find neutral on the tranny, and only then tighten up with bolt mating the two. The lack of a kickdown should only prevent the tranny from dropping to 2nd gear under load/acceleration.
