- might consider doing it.

About an inch. Here is the how-to article. Be sure to get the template out of the FAQ before proceeding. The best part about this mod is that it costs absolutely nothing but about a day's work.

Glen,
Note in the link on the 'Shelby' drop at the bottom of the page, the homemade internal spring compressor.

This falls into the 'as long as you are there' catagory: consider replacing the upper spring insulator (NPD 2007 pg 63 p/n5415-1), the spring saddle (NPD 2007 pg 63 3388-1A) and the upper A-arm shafts (NPD 2007 pg 55 3047-1), pictures are on page 55.

Wow!

I had heard several people talk about that, but I didn't know it was that simple (and FREE!)! Now I might consider it

Just make sure you have a decent spring compressor, and not like that man killer in the picture. It always takes me about twice as much time on a project as is estimated in these how-to articles. I ALWAYS lose a damn nut or bolt or some part and spend hours crawling around with my reading glasses on trying to locate. All right.....no smart assed remarks about my eyesight because of my age.

Trust me, i've done it 100 times. when I did my brakes last week, the rain opened up, and all my nuts and bolts started washing down the street. Took forever to track them down at my neighbors house

I still need to make me one of these dern spring compressors.

Yeah, Jim has a unique design that compresses it from atop the shock tower where you can't get bonged on the head.

And to clarify...you may drop the arms an inch, but it only nets you about 1/4 stance change because the drop isn't designed for lowering the car it is designed for improving the handling.
