i use to work for allstateford here i really dislike the mod motors. there are 32 valve heads for a push rod engine but they are pricey.theres alot of ways to build power cheapest are the ford and chevy small blocks. would you rather have 600hp or 200hp.

I kinda like some of the stuff Ford is doing with the new Mods, 3V heads, variable cam timing, variable geometry intake manifolds etc etc, they're finally putting some of the technology to use to make better power. That being said, they just aren't performing that well from the factory. There are guys with potent Mods, but it takes cams, some head work and a bunch of other stuff. $ for $ there's no way a Mod can keep up with something like a 5.0 or an LS. I think if Ford had kept continuing development of the 5.0/5.8 rather than going to the Mod, they'd have been better off. The one saving grace of the Mods, is that the factory blocks are very sturdy
