my 68 use to have heidts bolt in 4 link kit if you spend a little more you can get it welded to a 9 inch housing. there bolt in kit is 900 the one welded to a 9 inch is 1700 prices aer from mustangdepot.com
If you go to Stang.aholics.com they will sell the same unit to you , delivered to your door for less than Heidt's will. Those guys install so many of those things they get a sizable discount. They also offer a billet m/c with power assist for a 4 speed 65 that does not hit the tower or require relocation of your clutch rod.

I run the EVM watts link and I am waiting for them to complete the 3 link so I can install it.
They make a Watts Link for a Mustang? Where do I contact them? Panhard bars are ok but a Watts doesn't bind.

Here are some ideas. I think the IRS is intriguing. http://www.nzmustang.com/Newintoold/newintoold.htm
ACTUALLY
IRS is a really good way to improve handling on a road course, but it is not good for drag racing and hard launches. I am putting a Jaguar IRS unit in my 65, because I want a corner carver not a drag racer. Everything in life has its price and the cost of IRS is less traction on hard starts.

. . . but a Watts doesn't bind.
Not entirely so. While it's true that the WL does not try to move the axle laterally, that's only part ofthe picture. If you still have the leaf springs or the Fox/SN95 triangulated 4-link [mess], either a PHB or a Watts link will "bind" if it is installed at the wrong height. The amount of this form of bind is a function of how much different the roll center height of the PHB/WL is from that defined by the leaves or tri 4-link and by what kind of bushing material you've got at the ends of all those links/leaves. Keep the two definitions of roll center height close to each other, don't make everything poly, and you'll be OK,with better lateral axle location. Any more than a couple of inches difference and the argument between the PHB/WL and the rest about where the roll center heightis will start affecting the understeer/oversteer by enough to notice. A little like having an invisible sta-bar (anti-sway bar) back there, actually.

Totally agreewith dodgestang. I replaced my leaf springs & shackles & shocks. Running Lakewood bars and 235/60/15 BGF Drag Radials and have no problem with traction.
