Default T5 Conversion

Sorry to start another post, but after doing more homework, I really want to exhasut all options before I decide just to rebuild my stock C4. I have read the ford muscle article in the FAQ and it is very helpful, but I have a couple more questions...

For those of you that have done a T5 swap in the past, what was the total cost?

I beleive I can use the clutch pedal and assembly from a 3 speed car, is that correct?

With the 3 speed clutch pedal assembly, can I still convert to a cable operated clutch?

Any words of wisdom?

I love my T5!!! I had about $1500.00 in to mine, including T5 bell and hydraulic clutch and a rebuilt Z-spec T5 with special mods taking it HP rating up to 400. The 3-speed clutch pedal is the same as all other clutch pedals. Cable clutch is an option and will work with cars 65-68 but for about $50.00 more than the price of a cable clutch kit a person can easily go hydraulic. My only words of wisdom
1. Avoid using the bell adaptor use a T5 bell if you can
2. Do it you will be glad you did.

The cost is much higher then rebuildign the C4, but I really like the idea of a stick in this car.

Where did you get all that for $1500?

The T5 came from http://www.rosehillperformanceparts.com/
The bell housing, backing plate, clutch and pressure plate all came from eBay
The master cyl and slave cyl for the hydraulic clutch came from Speedway Motors
I made the slave cyl to T5 bracket

I was just looking through the rosehill performance site, and Ieven took a look at your site.

Both have some very nice stuff.

the best part about rosehill is they are only around 30-45 minutes from my house.

Glen of Rosehill is a great guy to deal with and a good friend of mine. Go talk to him and tell him Day sent you and I am sure he can help you get everything together. He will probably have all the other parts like the clutch flywheel and bell too. The only reason I didn't get it all from him was that he lives so far away from me (I am in MT) that it was more cost effective to get some of it else were due to shipping. He also has a 65 coupe that is worth seeing!!!
