I am going to paint my car by the end of this month. What color should i get it? I'm thinking of either black, blue or red. but dont know what type of black , red or blue. You know how theres candy red and all these different reds, blacks and blues. which one do you guys think is best?

What's best for us may not be best for you. That decision is completely up to you. You are the one who has to live with it.

 

It is hard to beat a black muscle car but you have to have that body straight to make it look good.

 

As soaring said ...really up to you ... what do you want to do with your car in terms of body modifications? which wheels will you fit it with? ....I mean I have an apple candy red that I really like and I will repaint my other car to the original sauterne gold color ...because there are lost of red and / or black FB, and I want to stick with the original color

 

Go with what you like. However, what is the original color of the car, that may be a good consideration. IMO red, black and blue are the most over used colors. I like to be a little original. I am going to paint my 67 the original burnt amber. How many of those do you see around?

Black usually looks really good on muscle cars as long as the body is straight. But as Soaring said, it's really up to you, you're the one that has to look at it everyday and be happy with it. It took me over 4 months to decide on the color for my car. You have some questions that you have to ask yourself like:
[ul][*]Do I want it to look stock or be a real head turner?[*]Will the body be straight enough?[*]How hard is it to keep clean?[*]Will it look good on my car?[/ul]
Those are a few of the questions I asked myself when I chose my color. Good luck!

 

You could always take a picture and adjust the colors in photoshop or something similar. Here is a picture I borrowed from somewhere to play with color. Some look unrealistic some look pretty good.

FWIW, generally speaking, the red paint costs more than the blue which costs slightly more than the black.
