Default problem with my intake manifold

ok so i bought a new intake manifold for my 302 but there seems to be a promblem.... the bolts that are comming up from the heads that you put a nut on there coming up to short and there is not enough space to put the nut on... when i do it starts to tighten but then it will strip the nut and i already tried torquing down all the bolts to see if it would give a little more space but no go... any ideas

Start from the beginning. Why did you decide to replace the intake in the first place? Which intake manifold did you buy? Which gasket did you use? Which engine do you have.?

ok so i bought a intake manifold because i needed one, from summit racing. it is just one of there brand intake manifolds, its description is... " Intake Manifold, Stage 2, Dual Plane, Aluminum, Natural, Square Bore, Ford, Small Block 260-302, Each" i used the gaskets that came in my gasket set for the whole motor. i have a 302 out of a 69 coupe

Remove the stud and use a long bolt.

Yea they come out, you might need to put two nuts on the stud to get them out,,, but it should work...

You represent the worst of the Mustang world with that statement - joke or not.
