Wow! This is like Disneyland. Below the surface are all these tunnels and pipes anddirty sh*t that no one can see.

I have know idea about the inner workings of this site. All I know is that it is an invaluable resourceI senda big thanks you to all those adminisators who make it happen and keep it running.

Glen - you are now free to speak your mind unincumered with staff resposbiliblies. I look fowad to your continuing input.

 

Chris, you know these guys don't listen or read this stuff. They skim thru and make half assed assumptions and start to rant. Very few people here realize what the admin/mods here are really like. I've gotten a LOT of help from most of the mods/admin here. I respect every decision made by them.

Everyone else sees you guys (and gal) like they see cops. They thing they are always out to get someone. Sure there are ******* cops who do, but in general, they aren't like that.

Everyone here who thinks that the mods and admin did this just because, think again. They could have banned my assat least 2 dozen times since I came here, but instead they worked things out with me. The mods and admin here are better than the countless other forums I've been a part of over the years.

The people with actual knowledge should be given a little more slack. There areguys that are completely clueless that get away with murder, and in so, there is no balance between the positive and negative. So what if a guy is ornery on occasion behind the scenes; for every person that bitched, I'm sure there were 25 he helped....

 

And a half a dozen or so he's made leave. Mainly women and at least two guys who were very knowledgable and had great insight. Than factor in the tension when there were big blowups between him and mambers regarding the choices they made and how he more than put them down and was outright disrespectful to members (again, namely the women) and than there was the bull**** he gave the very people who let him be such an influencing part of the forums (a mod). Don't bite the hand that feeds you.

 

Who is Nanuk (or whatever his name is) and why is he posting here? Clearly a low class petty individual.

Anyway, Soaring I for one have nothing to say but thank you!!!!! You wisdom, insite and willingness to offer a helping hand is commendable. You know what, petty thin skinned people who have no tollerance for opionions that don't match their own are what's wrong with this country today or that are so sensitive they can't the occassion disagreement or harsh tone/language. To all these sensitive types, grow up and be a man/woman.

Amanda-out of all the mods you seem like the most decent. However, although Glen has come off gruff from time to time, I personally have never witnessed anything drastic or abusive. He has almost always posted some input to any of my questions and I have always appreciated his input and never once been offended.

To the other individual (my77stang) who felt he had to post a couple of select quotes to demonstrate what the other mods had to deal with (right after some other mod said it was a private thing between glen and the othermods)let me just say, boo hoo, did the little baby's feelings get hurt. Get over it. Also presenting only half the story is a cowardly thing to do in my opnion.

Glen started this post to say good buy. I don't recall him bashing any of the other mods in his post, yet, all these other mods, most of which I have never seen a post from, felt the need to come here and clarify what a B**tard Glen is. Cheap and cowardly. (yes you Nanuk and my77stang, sorry if I hurt you wittle feelwings)

People have strong opinions and I on occassion did not agree with some of Glens. However, I respect them. He is a voice of reason in this forum when often the first thing some others recomend toa newb is a tunnel ram triple port quad do dad or some other off the wall stuff.

If the mods had issues w/ Glen and you came to an agreement that he would step down, coming on this post to trash him after, when I have never seen a post from the majority of you before is completely classless.

Glen, you are a gentleman in my eyes. You know what, now and again some people need to be told to go F*** themselves. Don't take no S**t from anyone. Again, thank you sir. And, I for one would like to see you stick around. From a New Yorker, I'd just like to say to all the other mods, Don't Mess with Texas!

I quess I will be asked to step down now too.....

These people you are referring to are long standing mods and admin. They may not come in here often to post cause they have their own respective sections to moderate.Forget the fact that he had "disagreements" with members. This came about because he couldn't follow the rules set out for all the mods and he was disrespectful to the mods who let him be a mod here on the site. This isn't because of his opinion on things!

well, i know i havent posted much here, but Ive read up on alot of threads- its how i learned most of what i know!

Glen, you seem like you have a ton of knowledge about everything classic, so I hope you stick around somewhat to lend a hand now and then. If not, enjoy life! and dont ya abandon your mustangs now

 

people who usually post in here, do read before they post, but its obvious that post ****** who wander in and make a thread making fun of Mustang IIs, then make a handful of uninformed comments about the situation clearly do not.

 

I don't know what else to say here other than. If this forum was a meat world corporation, would Glen have been given this much slack? I say this because this place IS a business and as such needs to run as smooth as possible. Was Glen knowledgeable about classic Mustangs? Absolutely without a doubt, and that is the reason that he was kept around for as long as he was. In the end he was asked to back off a bit on how he was acting and he chose not to, he knew what the outcome of all this would be and still decided to act the way he did. I would like to to re-iterate that this IS NOT about Glens opinions on resto-mods, but about him not being a team player (or even trying to be). You will see a few new faces in the classic section in the coming weeks while we try and find a replacement for Glen, we are not here to pass judgement or change the way things are run here, just to police the section for spam and to move threads that do not belong etc. We will help out on tech questions if we know the answer, but we really need our classic members to help each other out in that dept. I wish no ill towards Glen and hope that stays on as a member.
