Yup. I plan to keep my 5-spd coupe for a while, and I don't want my son driving a GT.

Well I have been moderating on here for about 2 months (maybe less) and own a 2006 mustang GT with a complete Cervinis body kit, painted stripes, and many chrome show parts on the interior and engine bay. I am getting whipped next week to represent the GT500 (meaning 500HP/GT) and some new valve covers (chrome of course), and new headers (304SS polished). I work in a hospital in Detroit as an RN and have been doing so for 8 yrs. I do much of my moderating at work (LOL- so yes I get paid to do this) as I have great downtime working the late shift (12hrs) 3-5 days a week. Anything else just PM me. Later J

I just realized this is in the classic section but will leave it up anyway unless Admin sees differently. Sorry

So tell us about youselve's!

And what kind of car do you ride ?

You do have a mustang right ?

-Ariel
Currently, we have three Mustangs. My wife drives my "old" ride - a 2005 4.0L V6/auto vert. My daily driver is a 2006 Mustang coupe with 4.0L/5speed and Pony Package. My best time with it is a 14.653 @ 94.14mph.

But my favorite Mustang is my '66 coupe. My dad bought it brand new in the Fall of '66. We all learned to drive on it, and it was my daily driver from high school 'til about 5 yars ago. It was a restomod before they coined the term. It's worked a bit, and I get much enjoyment when I drive her. It would take little work to put her on the road regularly. Our 11yo son thinks he's gonna drive it when he's 16, but he and I will find another project to work on together to give him an appreciation for owning acar and the knowledge to work on it himself.

28,

I think thats a great idea. My 65 FB has been in the family since 73, but was left by my uncle to rot. When I was 14 my dad bought it from him an hauled it to our house and dumped it. I say dumped it because like most it wouldnt even roll. He advised me he would not lift a finger unless I lifted a finger. IT took three years but I had the most respect for him now and am very proud of the car. I am currently finishing my second complete restoration now. I look forward to your posts

Kudos to the moderators that have responded. I believe this threadmay havebeen startedwithulterior motives (i.e. another powder keg). I appreciate the "high road" approach.

the SCT flash tuner will allow you to set a max speed as low as 60 mph on the new mustangs. You can also set the maz RPMs for as low as 3000. So all and all, people can nowhave a GT that gets their teenagersin less trouble then a V6.

What cars/years does the SCT tuner work on?
