the SCT flash tuner will allow you to set a max speed as low as 60 mph on the new mustangs. You can also set the maz RPMs for as low as 3000. So all and all, people can nowhave a GT that gets their teenagersin less trouble then a V6.
That's a very good point. I've got a SCT handheld tuner for my coupe, so it would be easy to lower those optional parameters. Good idea! But I'll have to hide the tuner from him to stop him from changing them back. Even at 11yo, he knows how to reflash tunes.

What cars/years does the SCT tuner work on?
Mine does:
96-present Mustangs/Cobras
03-presnet 6.0 Diesels Trucks (ford)
99-03 7.3 Diesel Trucks (ford)
99-04 Lighting/Harley Trucks
04-present F150s
99-04 Focus Zetec
03-04 SVT Focus
03-04 Marauder

They may have other units that can do other cars.

And I'm not 100% that the MPH & RPM limits work on all those cars/trucks, but I bet it does.

Kudos to the moderators that have responded. I believe this threadmay havebeen startedwithulterior motives (i.e. another powder keg). I appreciate the "high road" approach.
I think Ariel is a straight up guy,,, with no ulterior motives.

I can say for sure that it is easy to read too much into a post or thread because I have recently done so, to the effect of making an *** out of myself...

I am speaking for myself Crunchy,,, not for you.. Your Post = Minor,, My post = Major

hahaha. That's funny.

Here's a tip- on your coupe, you should remove and re-install your tune every few weeks. Otherwise your car's computer will get used to it and start to over ride some of the features. In my case, my throttle lag came back. But I took it off, put it back on, and it started doing it's job again.
