Default What next for my 66?

I'm thinking about changing the gear ratio in the back, currently everything in the rear end is stock on my 66 coupe... what does that cost and can i do it myself? Or is it one of those things where you should just spend a little more and have a shop do it? Anything else i should consider upgrading? I'm thinking that is the next thing to do, unless you gents think otherwise....

Here's what's done so far:
302 roller - 380 HP give or take a few
grab a track suspension all the way around
built c4
electric ignition
15x7 wheels

lots of little things( 1 piece export brace, 3/8 fuel line, tach, etc...)

Unless you have the tools (including dial indicators) and the expertise, leave the gear swaps to the pros. I got the gears changed in my Dodge Ram for right at $600, including the cost of the gears. That may be a little high because on the newer Dodge trucks the inside of the pumpkin has to be ground out for clearance of lower (higher numerically) gears.

In most cars it will make a pretty big difference, depending on where you're starting from and how you drive.

Good luck!

Yeah, setting up the pumpkin. I'd leave to a pro. You can, swap punkins your self, process is straight bolt in. If not on a lift, like using just jack stands, an extra set of lifting hands is helpful.

So is it worth it getting that done? Is it really a noticeable increase in the low end?
