need feedback on my engine compartment
Ok, a while back I decided I was going to paint my engine compartment just like the GT350SR's. It appeared to me they used a bedline paint. I have painted many rifle stocks with bedliner and know how to change the texture. I like the small skateboard tape type of texture so that's what I'm aiming for. I did a test spot to see how it looked and I like it. To prep the surface I sanded and then etched with a muratic acid/water solution. I then pressure washed it and then dried it before spraying. I will test this spot for durability as well. What do you all think?

WalMart sell the spray in bed liner in their automotive dept. It's about $8 a can up here. I figure 4 cans should do her. Experiment with the bed liner before spraying the engine bay. Hold the can about 18" from the surface and mist it on. Short little puffs to cover bare metal first. Then you can go over it and make it look uniform. Keep the nozzle clean or it will throw goobers in there that once dried sticks out like a sore thumb. From my experience, it is very durable.

That looks great.... That is going tobe very nice once it is done...
Besides looking great, the prep does not have to be "perfect", thus it isa real time saver as well, that works for me because I am basically lazy...
