Default Evaporust - safestrustremover experience?

Any experience with either of these rust removal products?

They appear to be non- to mildly acidic and laregly non-toxic with no significant handling or aromatic fumes / inhalation issues.

Are these products for real or is this a scam?

I am not familiar with either of those products, however por15 metal ready is the same concept. Non-toxic low acid rust remover.

I have taken core spring perches original 60s era that were covered in rust and soaked them in the product over night and when I came back the next morning they were clean metal with all rust removed, but no good metal removed. The material doesn't hurt the skin or the environment.

Por 15 metal ready is just phosphoric acid. Go to home depot and get phosphate plus. Same stuff, 1/4 the price. I use it all the time. Removes the rust and leave bare metal coated with zinc phosphate, which is an excellent base for topcoat and will stave off surface rust for a while until you are ready to paint.I also use it on hardware and spray with wd40 after for that phosphate and oil finish.

What if I don't want my rust remover product to leave a coat of anything? Some of my rust surfaces are pretty rough, and if Por15 only encapsulates it, it would also leave a fairly rough undercoat surface...

What is the best product to remove rust completley down to bare metal... and allow me to prime it how I want?
