Default Torgue Box Installation Help Please !

Hi Guys (Newbie Here)

I'm working on my '66 M/Convert.
I've welded in the L/H Inner Rocker Panel so far.

Now for that TORQUE BOX !

I've tweeked it, cut it, banged on it and whatever else I can do to make it fit.
It looks O.K. but may I remind you guys I NEVER installed a Torque Box B - 4.

Questons Please:

1. Should the Torque Box meet the Toe Board inside my car so that I may fillet weld 'em together and onto the railing?

2. How would you guys go about installing the Torque Box if you had my car ?

3. What should I look out for not to install it wrongly?

Thanks so much guys
GOD BLESS YOU ALL

Default RE: Torgue Box Installation Help Please !

I added the torque box to my 67 hardtop and it fit tight up against the floorboard. My car only had one on the drivers side (which I also replaced). I don't know how to say what to look for but the idea is to tie the front frame rails to the rocker panel for strength. It should be in there without a lot of gaps to prevent rust and get full strength, other than that I don't think it could be bad of a job unless the chassis is tweaked. Mine went in pretty easy...
