ORIGINAL: scouttrooper

Unfortunately, I have not been impressed with the "endurashine" finish by Edelbrock. Let me preface this by saying that I have not owned, nor have I maintained 10 different varieties of valve covers. The only engine of my own, that I controlled details like finish on the components was the one I have pictured. I loved the look of the "elite" valve covers, so I bought the carb and valve covers coated with the endurashine. It sounded like a great idea. The black painted inset on the covers started popping within days. The plastic "pretend hex screws" on mine started popping off as I was driving the thing, so no telling where they are. The carb has taken on a copper colored hue and is peeling where it was exposed to fuel. Now, the billet aluminum breather cover that I painted and clear-coated looks beautiful and seems very stable. Doesn't say much for endurashine if you ask me. Growing up, I always thought Edelbrock made the primo parts. Now I'm not sure they aren't the crap, bargain-basement parts of the aftermarket.
