If you are going to stick with the old stile flywheel there are still some really good performance options in the NPD catalog

Well the car has a Brand new under 1000 miles Zoom Kevlar 3 finger old style clutch. Will this be ok for my 347 motor that has 457 hp and 444 Ft Lbs of TQ at the crank? The car is not gonna be drag raced. Will never have slicks on it. Just around town to car shows and some getting on it once and a while.

I hate kevlar clutches. They're great for road racing but totally suck *** for street/drag type driving unless you dump it. They do NOT like to slip, and when you do they get VERY hot and fail to grab.I dd with a Centerforce DF, used a kevlar clutch once, and replaced it after like 500 miles cuz it couldn't hold up under normal driving situations around here with hills. And yeah, if there's a mod to use the old style clutch linkage, it'd be cheaper and easier. You just have to make sure the throw is right, the cable/hydraulic clutches require more travel to disengage
