Really depends on how maintained the car is, if its original or if its been in any wrecks. How much are they asking? Looks good from that pic. Just depends on what they're asking.

Well I did a little looking on Collector Car Trader Online, which I've noticed generally has nicer classics than your typical used car listings and it could go anywhere in the price range, depending on how well its done.

Take a look. http://ww2.collectorcartraderonline.com/search.php

Yea, from the picture shown it looks like its in decent shape. You need to inspect the car though, could just have a nice paint job on it and be a complete rust bucket. If you can get some interior shots, and engine bay shots, and anywhere rust is typical. Also to put it into perspective, its hard to get a decent 60s coupe with an I6 for under 5k anymore. At least around here.

ok wellthe real reason im asking for help on this is because it is being sold for 2900 occording to the guy for fast sell because some guy owed him money and never gave it to him so some how he got his mustang and all this guy wants is money in his poket. i told him its too good to be true. he says he doesnt know much about the car at all.. he has driven it only once or twice....what do you think?

looks clean from the pick..check the trunk for rust...specialy in the 71- 73 years..i wouldnt give them too much more than that for a coupe mustang 73..they dont bring too much money...and you can still find a decent fast back mach 1 73 for 6 grand and above..but not for long..there starting to get out of controll on there prices too...nada.com will show ya a insaine amount that there worth,..usualy half of what they state is the true going price..lol..my car on nada with ac and cobra jet motor says its worth about 52,000 mint..i would say its worth half that price....but it wont give ya all options and wrong options...lol...mine has powerwindows and factory alarm tack and more..but it doesnt show any of those extra options...best to check on ebay and watch what a really nice coupe sells for.

2900 isnt too bad of a price for that car.looks nice from the pics

Do you know the guy or have you met him before? It does sound a bit too good to be true, try checking the vin if you can see it and find out if its been wrecked or anything like that or if you know anyone in law enforcement you could have them run the plates and see if everything is ok. Those are the avenues I would take, but from the statement above you might be alright where its at.
