I'll sell you my Flows (40 series). I don't really care for them. It's too much bark- unless you 've got the action to back it up (and I don't- stock engine 289).
Just my opinion. . .

Flowmaster 50's. They are not too loud and sound great.

hooker aero chamber mufflers are real nice
i've always wondered what those puppies sound like. i have flowmaster 40's on my II and the sound was most excellent. it will be interesting to see what it sounds like with less compression and a few less cubic inches. i also have the flowmaster "american thunder" series on my 2006 GT and it was a very nice improvement over the stock ford cans (which sound good on the new mustangs anyways)

btw, glasspacks have their place. yeah they are loud and raspy but they give the ultimate "im gonna rip your head off and sh*t down your throat" sound if you have a wicked motor.

+1, They aren't overbearing like 40s are, but still give you a great tone and are aggressive when you get on it.

I have the 40 series, like them but wish I had gone with the 40 delta flows, the 40's sound great outside but get to be a bit LOUD inside if you are cruising for awhile at 55-65, I try to cruise below/above that to get the buzz out of my ears

anyone tried the new 44 series. supposably they have the deepest and loudest tone. I think im going to get them and do my hooker headers from summit on straight duals. i have a question tho. you can choise diffrent 44 inlet outlit types. i have 21/4 exhaust so i get 21/4 in/out? also they have straight through heads on the muffler or should iget the one that has a head on the oposite side? what has the best sound?

my question is whats the best sounding? the flowmaster site says there new 44s are the best. the 40 series sure does sound beefy. are the deltas louder? i just want to know whats deeper and louder.

note that having a decent cam and headers makes HUGE changes in the sound coming from any given muffler.

you have to take this into account.
