1967 Dash Lights Not Working
Dont think that would effect the dash lights but does sound like a short somewhere in your system. I think Starfury may be on to something with his reference to the IVR (instrument voltage regulator). They are infamous for going out and causing dash and gauge problems. Located/attached to back of the instrument cluster. Easy to replace. Some people buy or make a solid state IVR which is more reliable. You may have to google that as I cant remember the links. Here is a link to what the IVR looks like... http://johnsmustang.com/Catalog/425/
By the way, I made one of those solid state IVR following the instructions from this site. It was relatively easy fix to more reliable voltage for the dash lights and gauges...if you can solder, you can make one and attach it to the same area as the original was located...
