also why do some kits say no need to change brake pedal, but others come with new brake pedal etc.

is the installation hard to change over to power discs?
The brake pedals are different if you have manual brakes or power brakes. I just ran into this doing the granada swap on my '68. The power pedal is longer, has a different pivot/mount location on the pedal support and the distance between the pivot and pin is different, (I think 2" for manual and 4 1/2" for power) it also mounts differently to the pedal support. What I ran into was, when I hooked up my manual brake pedal to my new booster, it was pretty much sitting on the floor before pressing the pedal. I would recommend buying a kit that doesn't require changing the pedal just because it's a PITA to have to change/modify the brake pedal and pedal support. Unless that is, you don't mind curling up under the dash and doing most of the work upside down and backwards. Basically the difference in the kit would be the length of the pushrod that attaches to the brake pedal.

As far as difficulty, the granada swap wasn't bad at all, pretty much bolt on, no black magic involved. I'd expect an aftermarket kit to be even easier.

SSBC I think have the best kits. They are sold separately. I have just the front's,but if I ever did the rears I would not hesitate to buy them from these guys.(JMO)

SSBC is absolutely the best, though they are a little more expensive then mpbrakes. The nice part about SSBC, is when you need pads, your order mustang replacements, not GM as with mpbrakes. Additionally, may i suggest Porterfield shoes as a less expensive alternative todiscs in the rear: $90 verses $900 for the rear. Personally, i'm very impressed with the stopping power of those shoes.

I don't know if there is a kit that offers an all around swap. When i bought mine i purchased ssbc for the rear 9 in and willwoods for the front. If you buy them seperate you still get the desired outcome... Disk brakes all the way around...Look at summit racing they may have a kit and if they don't they definitely have the rears and fonts.
