how much can i get for eng and trans?
Hey guys....ive been wanting to go fuel injected and i was wondering about how much i can get for my COMPLETEmotor and tranny....
The car was overhauled when i bought it with less than 5000 miles on the motor. Since theni have put in a MSD Pro billet distributer, MSD blaster coil, MSD wires, Hooker super comp ceamic coated headers, Edelbrock rpm air gap intake, Speed Demon carb (650), new starter, Autometer fuel pressure gauge on fuel line, Holley mechanical fuel pump, Holley fuel pressure regulator, and an Edelbrock pro-flo air cleaner (because of clearence issues with hood).
The tranny is a 4 speed, hurst shifter, stock clutch and pressure plate.
What is a good price for the complete motor with ALL mods listed above?
How about the tranny...complete from bellhousing to tail?

oops...sorry lol I knew i forgot something...its the original 289 that came in my car...a 1966 289 c code that has some nice upgrades on the bolt on side...

If it helps you any,I just sold a stock rebuilt 289 and a 4 speed for $900.00.I'm really not sure if it was a great deal for the buyer or myself. He was happy andI made enough money for a mig,soI guess it was a pretty fair deal for both of us.

If it were me Joe, I'd take all the go fast goodies off and sell them individually on ebay or craigs....put the motor back to basic stock/recently over hauled configuration, and look for about 1600 for the motor/tranny. If you break them up you could probably sell them for more.

we have had real good luck with Chevy TBI's on AMC & Jeep motors
TBI is cheap (200$ complete @ JYD)
Can be made to look Stock
Simple Hookup
look for a 305 or 350 chevy TBI setup They are the same units w/differant computers and injectors
