id keep it throw a 5.0 efi system on it the 4 speed knuckless was asking how much if you missed it. id sell the parts to someone on here atleast then you know they will be used.the 4 speed is it a t10 or toploader.

im just sick ok my C4 auto trans, i need another manual, i had a 66 with the little 3 speed and now im back to auto in my 68. so if you want to sell the 4 speed let me know

 

leave the motor alone IMO and worry about your trans. if you must muck with the EFI, do as suggested and work with what you have (it looks like you have a pretty nice setup as it, although that carb is a little fat for a 289)

AMC 258 carb to propane injection
AMC 304 carb to TBI 305 Chevy
AMC 360 carb to TBI 350 Chevy
Built AMC 401 to TBI 454 Chevy (required a little fuel mapping)
Chevy 350 carb to Tuned Port (required new heads and a little work to the block)

The Chevy TBI Computer actually "learns" pretty well
