If anyone has issue with this they can buy their own classic Mustang and not tint their glass...

I would tint the glass, and I am sure we will be doing this on the 66.....
Tint it! If I'm not mistaken, you have the silver GT coupe right? Black tint will look sharp, keep it cooler inside and maybe help your interior and dash last a little longer. I say go for it.
You can't for the most part. California doesn't let you tint the front side windows or the windshield. I THINK there may be a new tint out that's only like 2-4% but stops a lot of UV and glare that is legal for front windshields. I've seen it on cranes which have to drive on the roads but the laws are different for them. Not sure if it applies to tint. You might want to look into it though, because you may be able to put a mild tint on the side windows too.

Your thinking backwards. Lighter tint is higher numbers and darker is lower numbers.
Wouldn't these laws not apply to you since you have a "historic"?
So now California does not allow any tint on the side glass? Leave it to California to pass another dumb *** law!
I can see laws limiting tint to a reasonable level, but outlawing it? You guys and gals in California need to think about the folks you are electing to public office...
Just one more reason that I will never live in Cal.
The bad thing about this is that other dumb *** politicians from other states will start looking at the California "model" and copy this law... after all, California is a "trend setter" as far as laws go...[:@][:@]
Oh well, I guess I have to laugh,,

I have a white 65 with black interior and i understand what youre talking about with the heat issue. I had 5% on everything but the windshield for a few months but decided to take it off because it was too dark. ItDRASTICALLY helped with the heat though and didnt look bad in my opinion. I think im going to go back with 20%
Yes JMD, Flordia is now mimicking Cali's laws.
I like Maryland. You can run around without your front plates off, half the exhaust missing, tinted like a pool of ink, and all kinds of illegal modifications and for the most part, noone bothers you.
