Default Supporting the car while replacing torque boxes

I am finally getting around to replacing my torque boxes, frame rail extensions and full floorboard in my 68 fastback. I am also going to have to patch the rear of the front frame rails and replace the toe boards. I need to lift and support the car while I replace these parts and need some advice. Since I have to remove a substantial amount of the structural support to the front of the car, I am very worried. Since a substantial amount of this support has been missing for years, I am also worried about the current geometry of these parts.
I was planning on supporting the car from the following places:
where the front of the leaf spring attaches to the rear frame
where the rear of the leaf spring attaches to the rear frame
towards the front of the rocker panels, like right in front of the seat platform
where the lower control arms attach to the frame
I was not planning on removing the rear axle and springs, so supporting from the rear of the leaf spring may be a little tricky.
Does anybody have any advice as to how the car should be supported and braced?
I have seen some pictures of people putting a support between the front and rear door pillars. Is this necessary for a fastback?
I know the first rational thought is that I should take my baby to somebody with experience, but I am determined to do it myself.

I replaced my whole floor on my 65. It is possible to do it yourself. You will need to be proficient at welding. I braced my front section by welding a piece of angle iron to the rear of the front frame rails, across and tied into the rockers. DO NOT start cutting up the floorpan towards the firewall,(where it ties into the cowl side panels)...it will sag. If is fairly involved, and would be more than happy to talk on the phone. Let me know...

I don't know much about this kind of extensive rust repair, (I am from AZ & NM), but I think I would be very carefull to try and not cut out any more than needed at any one time... brace, cut, relpace, start new section, brace, cut, replace, etc.
