got my engine today!
You might want to post thumbnails. It looks like the photos have only been downloaded once. I think people are scared to open files they cant see in advance. I have seen some people posting some fu#ked up things on forums like this. Just a thought. Then I would like to see this engine of yours!
I thought I recognized those heads, and then I saw Roush stamped into them. We used those and love them. I made the mistake of using 1.7 rockers and we had to slot the push-rod channels because they leaned so much. I think the 1.6's would have been tolerated, but the 1.7's turned into a giant pain in the ****. Did you or the shop run into any troubles with this given that the valves are so spread apart?
I also didn't want exhaust manifolds leaking a year or two down the road so I used HiPo cast iron with ceramic coating, but I had to relieve the heads in both sides for the Ford HiPo's to bolt up flush. Trouble with that??

you might have seen the valve cover picture on sfbay craigslist but the rest of the pictures i took when the guy dropped off the engine. i dont have anything planned for the engine as of now but im leaning towards an efi set up with a tremec tranny...i havent done the research for that yet so anythings possible. any suggestions?
Do you have any idea what you will put it in? Tremecs are awesome I have a five speed in my 66 and it runs awesome and has a highway idle of about 3000rpm at 70-75mph. It is also a surprisingly smooth shift for the amount of power in the vehicle. As for the intake i am a carberator kind of guy but EFI might be ok, this is definitely a huge opinion topic, which there is plenty of info already about
