Speaker box PICS?
well i decided to put two 10's in the trunk of my 66 mustang coupe.......i am considering on making a custom box but i am not quite sure what would look and sound the best......i would really like to see some pics of others before i start?
I would post some if I had any, my dad and I built one to custom fit into the little "cubby hole" that is behind the rear seat of my 68 coupe, and I have 2 type e alpine 12" subwoofers, sounds good, just have to do something about the tension rods in my trunk, not sure if yours has them or not.
the sound quality of the subs is all determined on the volume of the box the subs are goin into. I would check the subs and find the specs for the box. I myself am going to make my own box, but you also need to take into consideration where you are going to place your amp. A custom box could be designed many different ways, but the materials you use to make the box are highly important also. The sound quality can be severely altered if you dont use the right materials.

I mounted one of these against my seat back in the trunk. 3 10" speakers, WITH an amp built in. Not HUGE punch where you'll be blowing peoples windows out, but a very nice sound addition for your car. And easily removable.

I removed a sub from my 1990 5.0 hatch and put it in the trunk of my 1965. It sits just behind the back seat and fires strait up towards the rear package shelf. I had to turn it downhatch back so I didn't go deaf. But in the trunk of the 65, I consider it just barely enough. I think it would work better if I could turn it on it's side to fire into the back seat, but the box just won't fit that way, and I don't really want to rebuild it.
I don't have all that big of an amp, but I notice at night (when the headlights are on) it seems toput a strain on the electrical system.
