289 Dual-Quad setup
I posted a question about getting some more power out of a 289 without boring earlier. I came across the dual-quad setup for the 289. I have a factory 289 2v in my 68 fastback. Is the dual-quad a little bit much for the 289 or would eat be a huge power setup. Just curious if its worth getting or just stick with the dual plane intake with a single 4v.
Everything as far as I know is pretty much stock. The only thing thats not is the exhaust, but the exhaust manifolds are original. As far as the gears Im pretty sure its also all stock. 3 speed auto with the factory rear end.. I bought the car a few months ago and wasnt able to get all of the details on it because it came out of an estate. The trustees were all daughters of the man that died and had no clue about anything that had been done to the car. Its sat for 25 years in a garage is about all they could tell me. I havent been able to look in detail on whats been done because I work a few states away on the road all the time. Just snagged it because it seemed like a good deal with the zooming prices of the fastbacks getting out of control.

Unfortunately you would gain only a massive fuel bill on a stock/mild 289.
