Window Tint
I've been thinking these past two days or so if I should tint the windows on my mach 1. Nothing super dark, just a nice shade to keep the light out, but definitely legal. My car is getting painted Winter blue, a light blue metalic color (i'll post a pic). Should I tint the side and rear a little bit while the windows are out?
EVERYONE post pics of TINTED mustangs!!!
EDIT: here's the color my car will be to get an idea.

cool look and a very functional add on..It will definately help to keep the car cool, and protect the finish on your interior by keeping the sun from bleaching it.. I would go for it! In fact, I think I will...
The 65 is tinted, I will be getting the 67 done with the same tint level.
It is enough for a noticable improvement in interior temps after parking in the sun but not dark enough for the local police to bother me.

My 2005 GT is about the same color you're painting your car. I actually thought it looked kinda funny when I got it tinted. I'm not sure why becauseI usually think it looks good on anymodern car, but something about that light bluedidn't come out looking as goodnext to the tint.Maybe I went too dark, I don't know.
I'll agree that it made a huge difference innot letting the car get as hot in the parking lots.
my brother-in-law worked at a glass shop in high school. They always used Simple Green to clean off the old tint.

Anyone got suggestions on how to remove the residue after you pull the tint?

Some will say not to tint your classic but I think it all depends on the individual vehicle. When I bought mine, it had a 20% tint, which I really like. Not too light, not too dark. Plus, my tint is illegal in CA but I have not had any problems ...yet.

ldollar, I love your car!!! Same for you dodgestang, x2!!!!
Is all tint illegal in NJ?? That's rediculous.
In Texas, if you don't have tint you'd better park in the garage or be prepared to get fried when you get in. My truck has 20% side and 5% (limo) in the rear window.
If ldollar and dodgestang's cars are any indication, I say definitely tint it.
