Default Stereo ????

I have a 65 fastback that doesn't have a stereo. I don't sing very good so I need to put one in it. Does anybody know if you can get a tuner that will play mp3's and fit in the factory hole in the dash? I do not want to cut up my dash. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I've seen several options, don't know about quality though. I've seen several on eBay, John's Mustang Parts has some aftermarket ones, and look in the FAQ, there's a place that will rebuild the stock radio with all new internals. It has 4x45 watts and at least one input that can be used for MP3 players.

I have had 2 of the Custom Autosound radios and they were/are both garbage. I would NOT recommend them to my worse enemy...

If you don't want to cut the dash, then build an enclosure and install a name brand DIN style unit in the glove box. Otherwise, go ahead and cut your dash and install a modern one.

every one i know thats ever used custom autosound radios ended up throwing them away 6 months later.jamesw is right but id use a radio delete panel to fill in the hole and mount it in the glove box or under the dash maybe in a custom console.even if you bought that custom autosound one youll still have to run a cd changer the radio hole in the dash is too small for a cd.

What was the problem with custom autosound? So far mine is doing what I want it to, play cassette tapes. I have no intentions of a cd player or mp3 player personally. So far so good

yeah wats wrong with the custom auto sound radios? That's what I was planning on getting for my mach, I like the original look. I was going to get the one with no cd or tape, just the direct ipod connect cable out the back of the radio.

What was wrong with these radios? Cheap? Sounds bad? what?
