Hey all,
My 68 Coupe passenger door latch has been acting up for awhile now.
Here is the deal: I just replaced the lower hinge so the door shuts smooth and doesnt drag like before. But when you open the door from the INSIDE, you have to pull up the handle twice...
The first time, the latch goes about halfway but not enough for the door to pop open. Then you lower the handle and pull up again, and then the door opens the rest of the way.
I figure it is a simple latch issue but am hoping to hear from some of you who have encountered similar issues.
I lathered the latch up in WD40 but that didnt do the trick.

sounds like your latch is bad! or one the striker there is supposed to be a plastic sleeve is it still on there? have you checked the rod that connects everything to make sure it is in proper adjustment?

A simple fix is pull up on the door lock and then open it it'll work everytime, i have to do it on my 67 coupe.
