1967 "High-Power" Drum Brakes
Alright folks - After searching and searching for what is gonna fit my Mustang as far as a conversion from Drum to Disc Brakes I found this on eBay:

Seems like a Hybrid Drum setup - Advertised as 25% more stopping power. Has anyone tried this before? How well do you think it will work?
Sorry if its been discussed here before, but Im anxious to get feedback. Spring is around the corner, adn Im itching to hit the road!
Thnaks for your input!

These are just exotic material drum brake shoes with larger slave cylinders. No disks involved so not a hybrid.
They may perform better, but may also be louder or eat the drums faster, don't really know.

I know they arent Disc, poor choice of words syaing they are Hybrid - I may give them a shot and see how well tehy work. The guy said they have a 100% money back guarantee, so what do I have to lose except a few hours out of my life?
The disc conversion is more than $100 more like $800. or more. However the best stop power will be with the disc over the drum set up. The kits are a bolt on and fit well. I have a 69 and in San Diego Ca and I purchased CNC who is a local mfg. There are many avail. I had some problems with the studs on the rotors. CNC replaced them with a softer stud with no hassle and no charge...they were interested in getting it right for me...
The biggest reason to get this would be to keep the original drum setup, instead of a disk conversion, would be for auto shows.
If you want better stopping power and are not a 100% original car show person, go with the disk conversion.
I saved up for a year to get a power disk, 4 wheel break system for my 65, and have never regretted it.
