don't mean to steal his thread but it is a question about his question
i just got a 67 coupe and i am going to have to redo my seats and generally the whole inside, can anyone point me in the right direction on how to do this myself if i choose to go this route. and what kind of cost to expect. thanks
Check out Virginia Classic Mustangs. They carry the same parts as NPD for a lower cost, theres other resellers, but I was very happyy with the speed and turnover from VCM. Good suctomer service, so If you arent sure what you are looking for they are a good resource. I picked up the entire replacement interior for my 65. Carpet, seats, buns, side trim, mats....visors.....kitchen sink....yadda yadda. No I havent done the recovering yet (To answer the originating question in this thread...I will do it myself) as I am waiting for the weather to turn cold and gross....dont wannt tear it up when the weathers good for driving.

i can get all of this from a shop not far from my house for $399.95
the interior of my car is pretty much trashed so i think this is all i will need at leastfor the upholstery. i have the seats they just aren't very good.

I don't remember the exact total. I do know I spent under $1000, but I literally bought every part for the interior. Dash pad, seats, door panels, rear seatside trim, package tray cover, visors, a few replacement chrome bits and pieces....the fancy carpet mats with the embroidered logo, the fancy repro radio with the mp3 hook up.

I am replacing the pony interior, so I would imagine its a bit higher than the standard package ( I didnt really bother to compare since I want the factory restore). I did however fail to get new lapbelts as of yet....Oh bother.....
